Talia Noor was born in Islamabad Pakistan. She is a practicing artist. She has done her 3 year DAE in Fashion designing from Government Polytechnic Institute for Women Islamabad. After that she completed her B.fa with Distinction in Fine arts from National College of Arts in the year 2022. Talia is currently working with an old miniature design called “Shamsa”. The Shamsa was created around 1645. In Islamic art, a shamsa is an intricately decorated rosette or medallion which is used in many contexts, including manuscripts, carpets, ornamental metalwork and architectural decoration. Shamsa is her inspiration as it allows her to express versatile ideas. This arabesque and its roots like designs, ideas and innovation are displayed in her work. Furthermore, she has challenged herself to recreate and capture it in its former glory. She is trying to modify it in different material as shown in her chosen Mughal figures which are turning to collage work.
