Evolution of Art Promotion

Brendan Sullivan

‘In my last year of college in Marquette, Michigan I came across a photo book in the library about the life and work of Harry Callahan. Ever since reading and absorbing the photographs in that book it fanned the flames of my love for photography and inspired me more than ever to approach photography from a more experimental perspective. In my work, I try to focus on capturing the things around me that grab my eye. Once I take an initial photograph, I will try to capture it again by trying to see it in a different way whether that be from a different height, angle, or even introducing intentional camera movement to the photograph. I suppose that my work doesn’t have a specific end goal other than hopefully intriguing someone enough to take even just an extra second to examine the details of any photograph or work of art.’
