My practice is a meditation on the self and the world around me.
I explore the potential of drawing as a holistic integrated therapeutic experience based upon self enquiry. I am interested in the phenomenology of perception and what it is to be human in this world.
My paintings are authentic, a residual outcome of a performance, an action. I often work to timed events and use primitive, basic painting methodologies and processes such as mono print drawing with raw canvas and oils as an experiential exploration of mind, physical body, emotion and spirit.
My artistic enquiry and creative process is an intervention for trauma healing: acceptance, processing, releasing and growth.
I studied art at MA & BA level and was once offered an unconditional offer to MA Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art, London. I am a qualified lecturer, and Specialist Therapeutic Art Practitioner working internationally, based in England UK.
